Jinpei slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He was lying on a soft bed in a room he didn't recognize. It took him a moment to remember that Kosu had carried him here after he fainted in the dungeon. Jinpei sat up and rubbed his eyes, feeling groggy and disoriented.

Kosu appeared at the door, holding a cup of tea. "Hey, you're awake," he said, coming over to sit next to Jinpei on the bed. "How are you feeling?"

Jinpei groaned and rubbed his head. "Like I got hit by a truck," he muttered. "What happened?"

"You fainted after the bonding ritual with Drake," Kosu explained, handing him the cup of tea. "I had to carry you out of the dungeon. Drake turned small and went inside your body, and I brought you back to my apartment to rest."

Jinpei sipped the tea gratefully, feeling the warmth seep into his body. "Drake?" he repeated, looking at Kosu in confusion.

"Your familiar," Kosu reminded him. "You named him Drake."

Jinpei's eyes widened as he remembered. He had completely forgotten about the little monster he had bonded with in the dungeon. He looked down at his hand and saw a faint glow emanating from his palm. He closed his eyes and focused, feeling the energy of the familiar coursing through him.

"I can feel him," Jinpei murmured, amazed. "He's inside me."

Kosu nodded. "That's the way it works," he said. "Drake will be with you always, and you can summon him whenever you need him. He's a powerful ally."

Jinpei smiled, feeling a surge of excitement. He couldn't wait to explore the full extent of his powers with Drake by his side. "Thanks, Kosu," he said, looking at him gratefully. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Kosu shrugged, looking a little embarrassed. "It's no big deal," he said. "I just wanted to help."

Jinpei grinned. "Well, you did more than that," he said. "You saved my life. And now, I'm ready for whatever comes next."

Kosu had been keeping his feelings for Jinpei hidden for quite some time now. But as they sat together on the couch in Kosu's apartment, with the moonlight streaming in through the window, he knew he couldn't keep it to himself any longer.

"Jinpei," he said softly, taking his friend's hand in his. "I need to tell you something."

Jinpei looked up at him with a curious expression. "What is it, Kosu?"

"I...I have feelings for you," Kosu admitted, feeling his cheeks grow warm with embarrassment. "I know we've been friends for a long time, and I don't want to ruin that, but I just had to tell you."

Jinpei looked surprised for a moment, but then a soft smile spread across his face. "Kosu, I had a feeling you might feel that way," he said, squeezing Kosu's hand. "And I have to admit, I feel the same."

Kosu's heart leaped with joy at the words. He leaned in to kiss Jinpei, and they shared a sweet, tender moment together.

As they pulled away, Kosu looked deeply into Jinpei's eyes. "I'm so glad we can be together like this," he whispered.

Jinpei nodded, a contented smile on his face. "Me too, Kosu. Me too."
