When the night blanketed the castle and silent sieged all of its hallways, only the light of the night patroller's lantern could be seen steadily passed from window to window. In one of such hallways, a shadow hid in dark corner where the lantern light couldn't read, and silently creeped passed a night patroller's back. From window to window, that tall hooded shadow strode like the wind, with rucksack on the back and foot at haste yet leaved naught a sound behind. Soon after, the hooded figure found itself under the heavenly light, and with a grace of a feline the hooded person quickly found his way toward a warehouse, where the corpses of Lord Urdin's victims were being store.

"Damn, why am I the only one have to guard those corpses?" –A servant rubbed his arm to ease the cold of night while complained to himself, but unbeknown to him, lurked in a corner, a pair of piercing blue eyes perked out under a hood and watching him.

The servant jolted, body tensed, eyes wide opened, his gaze darted all over his surroundings. Something just spooked the servant, fear quickly rose as his eyes saw nothing that could create the sound that just spooked him, retrieved the lantern hung on the wall near him, with trembled hand the servant pushed forth to where, he thought, the sound came from.

"Who's there?" –asked in Bricatish into the night, once he passed the corner where that pair of blue eyes once be. Lantern held forth, illuminated as far as his could, yet naught was all he found.

"Was I imagined thing?" –the servant asked himself and quickly turned back to his post. Imagined thing he wasn't, as the heavenly light illuminated a tall hooded figure creeping toward him.

Once again, the servant eyes opened as wide as humanly could, but this time with a hand grasped hold as his nape.

"You are very, very tired" –with a steady warm tone, the hooded man whispered to the servant in Bricatish, his eyes under the hood now milky white- "Your eyelids felt heavy like lead, it had been a very long and tiresome day, you need some rest, well deserved rest."

"Well deserved rest..." –the servant repeated what the hooded man whispered to him- "I... need... some... rest..."

And in no time, that servant fell into the hooded man's arms, sound asleep. Borrowed his lantern and key the hooded man quickly stepped inside the warehouse. Closed the door, he removed his hood and the lantern light revealed Elesil's face, on the floor in front of his eyes were three rows of corpses wrapped in cloth. To the freshest corpse, Elesil put on his gloves and removed the covering cloth, then from his rucksack retrieved a leather pack of small knife and small glass test tubes he brought earlier in the day without the other's knowledge. With skilled hand, Elesil had removed some lumps of mutated flesh from a woman corpse, together with extraction of blood sample, all store into the test tubes together with some preservatives.

After his deed had done, Elesil returned everything back to their previous stated and carefully creeped out of the warehouse, in time of the spell he put on the servant had worn off and the man awoke.

When the sun was high on the sky, Samuel strode through the dining hall of the servant's quarter with a tray of food on this hand and a tired long yawn. The news of what Lord Urdin had done, was already came to the ears of every person in the castle and cast a gloomy air over everything. The dining hall quiet like a graveyard, all one could hear were the soft clanking of eating utensils.

"Morning, Elesil" –sat down next to the tall figure of Elesil, Samuel bade his greeting.

"Oh, good morning, Challenger," Elesil replied.

"Crazy week isn't" –sighed, Samuel torn a piece from his bread- "Met princess, get hunted by a punch of freak, met another princess and now is crazy lord and his morbid human experiment."

"Indeed, it was" –Elesil nodded.

"Jess isn't going to believe all of these when I met her" –Samuel smiled- "Wonders how she's doing now."

"Fret not, she is in good hand" –Elesil reassured- "A very interesting lady she is, I had to admit, rarely I have seen a person who had such love for knowledge."

"Yeah... hah hah..." –let out a chuckle, Samuel stuffed his mouth with another piece of bread- "What a damn nerd she is, er... anyway, all this craziness made me forgot to ask" –turned to Elesil, Samuel asked, "How did you come to meet my sister anyway?"

"Hum... it was about a year ago, when I went fishing on a lake near my house and I spotted her floating on the water, so I brought her home and she stay with my family since" -Elesil explained.

"Wait a minute..." –Samuel's eyebrows arched up in surprise- "A year? My sister had been here, in this world, for a year? How can that possible? I only been here for... three months."

"That... I do not know" -Elesil stumped- "When my mother asked, she could not recall much of the circumstance of her arrival to this world either."

"Is that so? Yah... me as well" -Samuel nodded

"You too?" Elesil said

"Yah, I can't recall much neither, my memory of... I'll said of the week prior to when I woke up in Kranwolf's house is all fuzzy, blank even" -Samuel rubbed his temple- "Although, it seemed to somewhat come back lately... I think."

"What did you remember, may I ask?" –Elesil curious- "Perhaps my mother could help you when we get to my house."

"I appreciated that, mate, it... isn't much that make sense though, something... about a book fair, I think" –Samuel frowned- "I'll let you know if I remembered more."

"Hey, Elesil" –with an enthusiastic tone Samuel spoke- "Now that I'm all 'magic up' could you teach me a few tricks about magic?"

"Sure, I can give you a few meditation lessons to started with regulate and control your 'Quasum' first," Elesil answered.

"Qu... what?" Samuel wondered.

"'Quasum', it is the name we Elvas used to call the magical energy, each race of people on Varlaurea have they own name to call it," Elesil said.

"Yeah!" –with great anticipate, Samuel continued- "But hey, will I able to fly?"

"Er... technically, you can," Elesil said.

"Technically?" Samuel wondered.

"Yes, technically" –Elesil finished his meal- "It would take a lot of energy to constantly fight against gravity, and I doubt anyone's body could create that much Quasum without killing oneself due to exhaustion, although, there's some exception, for example, there's a race of people called the Dragon Folk they can fly using magic, no one sure why because sadly they had brought their secret to their grave."

"Whoah, what happened to them?" Samuel questioned.

"Eh... that is a long story" –Elesil hesitated to answered Samuel's question- "But in the other hand, you can use magic to enhance your body, and briefly control your body weight so you could jump and leap with great distain, and run faster than a velelis could."

"Hah, that's not bad at all..." –Samuel's word dragged due to something, or rather someone just came into his view.

With a silk band neatly tied most of her wavy hair behind her head into a ponytail, told her attendants to wait at the door way, she strode into the dining hall, with each step she took those fiery locks of her bounced and danced, it swayed with her head's movement and shine under the sunrays like fire in a winter night. Her eyes, an emerald sheen, they sparkled amidst an elegant red shade of her eyeshadow, together with her lipstick, her blush they complemented her fair complexion. The pure white cross-collards robe with blue floral embroidery she wore seemed to grow like fine marble with every touch of sunray. The tiny bells on her silver choker, rattled with each of her step, ting, ting, ting, they announcing her present, ting, ting, ting they demanded everyone's attention to their wearer.

Watched that fair maiden approaching his table, Samuel confuses for seconds as he wondered if what he was seeing was a human or a goddess.

"Damn, Emma, you look stunning" –Samuel bade his complement as Emma sit down in front of him- "But... why get all fancy out of sudden?"

"Thank you" –Emma's lips curved into an elegant smile.

"She known, is she not?" –Elesil spoke before Emma could answered Samuel, whirls Emma nodded in agreement.

"She knows? Hi? She found out who you are? How?" -Samuel surprised.

"I was careless" –Emma sighed.

Thus, Emma told the men of the circumstance of her identity disclosure. Not long after that gruesome discover in the castle's basement, Emma decided to take a hot bath to calm her nerve and when she came back and sort through her changed clothe, Emma was petrified as her jade ring still eluded from her eyes. As the princess was scrambling to look for her possession, a maid of Princess Hi came up to Emma.

"My lady" –the maid interlocked her fingers and bowed- "Please follow me, Her Highness would like to meet you."

A sense of dread rising with each step Emma followed the maid, scenarios ran through her head and what kind of lie she could conjure up to spin herself out of tight situation. Soon after, the maid directed Emma into Hi's quarter, the Aulacia princess sat barefooted at the end of the room next to a place of sweet treats and tea, with a warm friendly smile she greeted Emma.

"Come, sit down" –waved at her servants, Hi told them to brought Emma a chair- "Sweet treat? Tea?"

"No, thank you, Your Highness" -Emma declined- "Why're you want to meet me, Your Grace?"

"Oh, come now, don't call me that, just 'Hi' is fine, aren't we not the same status?" –Hi raised one of her eyebrows, thus Emma sighed and knew her act had come to an end.

"Well... you know, I just want to apology..." –spoke after seconds of silent, Princess Hi reached inside the pocket inside her robe's big sleeve- "For not properly train my servants, and because of that one of them had 'stolen' one of your possessions, but when I found out what they had done, I was... surprise, that is... why was the princess of Celgealia hid her own identity and travel with some odd companions? Where's your convoy Lady Blanchardlette?" –with and smirk on her face, Hi rolled Emma's jade ring between her thumb and index.

"Well, then train your servants properly this time" –Emma voiced her displease- "As for my travel companions and hiding my identity, it's just simply that I was attacked by bandit and got lost from my convoy, master Challenger and master Ithilon, they're just kind-hearted people who help me when I'm in distress, and the identity thing..." –Emma smirked- "I think you known all too well, giving the situation between two kingdoms."

"Oh, please, I think there's a miss understanding here" –again, Hi wore her friendly smile- "All Aulacia want is the return of her property."

"Is that it? Huh!" –Emma huffed and continued with a sarcastic tone- "Well, that's strange, here I was, thinking that it just some big kingdom thuggishly bullying smaller one."

The very air, sucked out of the room the moment the last word left Emma's lips. Princess Hi's slender eyes squinted and she stopped in mid motion as her shaft as knife glance fixated on Emma. In return, an emerald sheen full of defiant from Emma's eyes, daringly greeted that gaze of dagger. Time seemingly stopped as a dreadful silent was crushing down on the two ladies and dragged for minute.

"Give back my ring!" –Emma broke the silent- "Isn't that why you calling me here?"

"Of course," –again with a warm friendly smile, Princess Hi replied. Gently, she laid the jade ring on the desk next to her, and leaved it there for Emma to take it herself.

As Emma got up from her seat and her finger about to retrieve what her own, Hi palm covered the jade ring.

"I have this proposes" –leaned toward Emma, still with the friendly smile on her face- "How about... after the White Ring Council assembling had finished, you come to Aulacia for an official state visit, that way we can talk more directly and ease out all our differences?"

"So she gave the ring back and gifted you that dress and invited you for an official state request too?" –Samuel concluded what Emma retold- "That wasn't so bad of her."

"Huh! Only after I accepted her proposal" -Emma huffed- "I doubts that offer was from good intention, I don't trust that slanted-eyes"

"What so importance about that ring anyway?" Samuel wondered.

"Aside from it being the only proof of her identity right now," Elesil explained, "The ring was made and infused with Elvas magic, without it she will not be able to enter the Eternal Forest let along speak in the White Rings Council."

"I... I know I had bother you two too much, but... could I ask for another favour from you two?" –turned to Samuel and Elesil, Emma pleaded- "Please, help me find my convoy and get away from the Aulacians, please you two are the only one I can trust right now."

The two men looked at each other for a moment- "Alright, we'll help you"- Samuel shrugged.

"Really, thank you, thank you, I'll repay you anything you want" –Emma delighted.

"Anything?" –Samuel head snapped back at Emma with a devious smile on his face.

"Er..." –regretted what she just said, Emma tried to adjust her sentence- "Can I retract that part?"

"Nope, too late, lady," Samuel smiled.

At about late morning, the preparation had finished and the Aulacian's convoy ready to resume their journey. Lord Harduin had took to himself to escort them all the way to the city gate, the poor boy kept apologising nonstop about what had happened, for obvious reason, by Bricatia's code of hospitality and tradition, the Aulacians were his guests and the host's duty was to kept his guest safe and well fed, not to mention they were also a diplomatic delegation so what had happened was highly condemnable to say the least.

"Please, one again, Your Highness, I begged you forgive us for what had happened" –bowed low and with a trembling voice to the foreign guesses, Lord Harduin begged- "I'm sure my father have no bad intention to you and your kingdom, He... his mind was just... sick... I begging you, please forgive us!"

The Aulacian princess remain silent, her slender eyes watched the little boy head hung low and the way his voice trembling, the princess sighed.

"It's alright, lord Harduin, you don't have to kept apologising like this" –with a gentle smile, the Aulacian Princess continued- "It's saddened me that you have to bear such responsibility at such a young age, what had happened I'll considerate it just an accident."

Thus, the Aulacian princess's will was set even with the objection of her advisor, Lord Harduin rejoiced and present her a small chest full of gold, gems and jewelleries to which the princess also declined.

"That wouldn't be needed" –gently patted her hand on Lord Harduin's shoulder- "Try to find some way to care for your father's illness."

After that farewell, the convoy was on its way, through the carriage's window, watched the city gate getting smaller and smaller, and ultimately disappeared behind a hill range of swaying wheat.

"Poor boy" –Princess Hi sighed, laid back on her hammock- "When what had happened get to the ear of the public, eventually, he going to have a rough time."

Blades of grass gently swayed with each stroke of the wind, whilst birds singing in the foliage of trees, the Aulacia's convoy followed the main road northward. Outside the window of the carriages, a serene scenery of majestic mountains and lush forest rolled by, gave any soul who set their gaze upon them a perfect tranquillity. But it was the opposite inside the main carriage, where the lady of two realms share the ride, ever since they resume their journey an awkwardness tension persisted.

"So, lady Blanchardlette, how's your father lately?" –Princess Hi broke the silent and smiled at the person sat across the carriage with her.

"He's quite well, thanks for your concern," Emma replied.

"Come now, what with that frown of your?" -Princess Hi sighed- "Look, we're all women here, let have a little heart to heart, what say you?" –Princess Hi smiled- "I know you must feel awkward due to our kingdom's dispute, to be honest that tiny patch of land was originally belong to our ancestor, the ancient empire of Varlann, if you were me wouldn't you want to take back your ancestry legacy?"

"Then what proof do you have to prove that land once belong to Varlann Empire?" Emma said, "And more so, what proof do you have that yours were the direct descendant from Varlann's line? You people just suddenly claimed that land belong to you without a lick of evident, not to mention all the raiding from your side, this is clearly a ploy to destabilize the area."

"I am sure you, that such raiding was never happened, Aulacia always want to settle this dispute diplomatically" -Princess Hi reaffirmed- " I don't know where you get those accusations from, that's a total lies and we won't take such slander lightly."

"Slander? Are you perhaps mistaken about who's doing the slandering here?" –with great resoluteness Emma continued- "Lord Dubuis is an honourable man, his clan has served my house for century there's no reason for him to lie about anything, all and all, Celgealia's position remains the same, we'll not talk about this anymore and will let the council decided."

"So be it" –Princess Hi laid back on her hammock- "Let the White Ring decided then, they would side with Aulacia and won't support such lie and slander, with all the proofs we have, I can sure you that."

The road once again led the convoy to another settlement, as they approaching the city gate, unlike the previous time, the main road that led to the local lord's castle was packed with onlookers, with wide eyes and a great curiosity the citizens flocked to the street to take a glance at the foreign visitors, wowing at the way those far away strangers dressed and fascinated at how they look like.

When the ladies arrived at the local lord's castle, the host, Baron Victor Turdi, bade them a warmest of welcome. When he surprised at the present of Emma with the Aulacia's delegation, Princess Hi quickly explained Emma's circumstance to the Baron Turdi before Emma had a chance to utter a sound. With a tone of great delight and leave no chance of Emma to say otherwise, Hi announced about Emma's official state visit, to Emma dismay and puzzling about the Aulacian princess's intention.

After settle in Baron Turdi's castle as the Aulacian delegation 's guest, Elesil started his first lesson for Samuel to grasp the art of magic. From the Elvas's explanation, to perform magic spell, one must have mastered two things, the Ancient Language and the magical energy called "Quasum" by the Elvas and many difference names by other culture and language. The Ancient Language was used to form a spell, to control, describe and regulating the outcome of a spell, without it, a spell would take a long time to execute and the outcome might unpredictable. Of course there was exception, like what Elesil had done with the Orc when they first met, that technic was a form of telepathy magic that require no spell, the mage would funnelled the Quasum energy in their body, or extract from outside source if their own was not enough, to enhanced their brain activity and their own brainwave to be able to influence their surround environment in a limited capacity like manipulate an object, extrasensory perception and mind connection, but such technics were very inefficient and of course, restricted by a short range from direct physical touch to constant eye-contact within a distain about three to five lias, if tried to exceed these limits the mage would ran into the risk of death due to exhaustion, so as Elesil warned.

So that was the language part, but the important thing was the magic energy part, as Elesil said, it was energy field that present everywhere, from the smallest insect to the giant of beast, from the inanimate rock to the blazing sun and blinking stars of the night sky, it was the energy that bind matter together. Thus, with a patience tone, Elesil guided Samuel through his first meditation lesson to sense and invoke the magical energy within him. Through hours of many tries, Samuel grown restless from his lack of progression but thanked to Elesil encourage and patient, eventually a break through.

It was hard for Samuel to describe, the best he could, was compared it to a source of heat, it stated somewhere around Samuel's belly button area, perhaps a little lower. From there the heat grew warmer and started to flow, spiralling outward and reached to every nook and cranny in entire of his body. Finally, to Samuel's surprise, an image suddenly flashed in his mind, or was it an image? Samuel couldn't be sure, it was like vibration that he felt, humming energy field perhaps, that formed into some faint fuzzy shapes, the strongest of them was the one right next to him. But all of that was only last for about under a minute or so, before Samuel started to sense that heat source quickly retracting back to his body's centre and eventually faded away, after that he felt an exhaustion akin to the time he'd ran a dozens of kilometres in full combat gear back when he still in the British military.

"Impressive" –Elesil held his chin in amazement of what Samuel just described about what'd happened- "What had happened was you just sensed you surrounding environment, that being this room we are in right now, through the Quasum energy field, the vibration you just describe were the vibrating Quasum energy within the matter that made off the furniture in here."

"Cool, then what's that strong vibrating I felt right next to me?" –Samuel laid down on his back to take a rest.

"That is me" –Elesil explained- "You just sensed the energy from my body, normally a young mage of other folks had to kept practicing meditation for weeks to be able to briefly archived what you did, this is such curious development and to be honest I am too, in lost for word, since the time you said you could passively sense Quasum energy, I can sense your energy vibrating is getting stronger by day, it almost reach the level of a normal Upper's mage already, it fascinating me that how a person who have no magical potential when we first met had grown this fast."

"I did good didn't I, master?" –Samuel laughed and gave himself a thump up- "and hey, please don't dissect me, ok." –Samuel joked when he saw the fascinated look in Elesil's eyes.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Someone at the door interrupt the men conversation, the door opened and revealed a red hair maiden in beautiful cross-collar robe at the door way.

"Oh, Em... ah... princess" –Samuel adjusted his greeting, and perform some sort of greeting gesture- "What bring you here, Highness?"

"Just 'Emma' is fine, had I not told you that you're not that charming, had I?" –Emma amused- "Well, at least when it's just us together, from now on, probably you have to address me correctly in public."

"Ask your wish, Your Grace" –Samuel twirled his hand and bowed, imitated what he saw in those historical drama back in his world, of which drawn out a laugh from the Celgealian Princess.

"I hope I didn't interrupt anything?" Emma asked.

"Oh no, we're just finishing up" –Samuel pulled up a chair for the princess- "you need anything?"

"Well... the thing is..." –Emma's cheeks turned a little bit red- "You see, Baron Turdi is throwing a welcoming banquet for the guests, and I really don't want to go by myself, so... I wonder if you want to be my escort?"

"Me? Are you sure?" –Samuel surprised- "I would love to but... will I allow? I'm not some highborn or anything like that."

"It'll be fine, you'll accompany me as a personal guard," Emma said.

"Oh, hey! Can Elesil come too?" –Samuel pointed his thump at his Elvas friend.

"I already had been invited," Elesil spoke.

"Let me guess, It's Princess Hi isn't it," Emma said.

"Indeed, this might upset some of the local Bricatia nobles, I really do not want to attend but have to obligate the princess" –Elesil raised an eyebrow and commented- "Although, I had heard this region have quite excellent fermented grain beverage, so I might try some out."

Soon after, on that background of scarlet sky where the sun disk was sinking from the horizon afar, the castle courtyard of Baron Turdin glowed a warm light, the road leading to the castle gate was lit by countless lanterns, illuminated the way for the carriages of the high society people to come to the feast. The hanging lanterns gently swayed by breeze just visited the hallway, where the sound of footsteps and laughers echo the air, where the ladies in their luxurious dress, rich in colour and intricately embroidered flowery pattern, their jewellery sparkled under the warm glowed of the lanterns, they strode side by side with their escort, and no less from the women, the latest fashion trend adorned the gentlemen.

Stood at the hallway amidst that buzzling of incoming guests, Samuel in a simple red tunic highlighted with a few stripes of white on the long sleeves and around the neck and fastened at the waist with a white sash, although there were many other sets with more elaborate design Emma had choose for him, but Samuel picked this one, just simply because its resemblance the guardsmen uniform, he used to wear. Then, a slender figure of a maiden who snuggly enclosed in a beautiful green dress, with slightly puffy shoulder and leaf vines pattern wrapped around the long sleeve came to Samuel's view, like those fairy tales, the lantern like gave her locks a fire-like glow enveloped her lovely oblong face, that sheen of green in her eyes sparkled when those red lips curled into an elegant smile. They exchanged a bow, received the Celgealian princess's hand, Samuel gracefully touched his lips on her fingers.

"You look lovely tonight, My Princess" -Samuel smiled.

After meet up with Princess Hi and Elesil, the pair proceeded to the castle's courtyard where the feast awaited. Quickly after they bade there greeting with the host, the two princesses were quickly swarmed by the noble men, with compliments and flatteries they showered the two princesses, Samuel was quickly pushed out of the group of highborn surrounding the ladies, and found Elesil stood alone amid the displeased glares and whisperings from some of the highborn. The Elvas didn't seem to care much of their attitude, his mind was more focus on the glass of beverage in his hand, Samuel really surprised to see that look of pure enjoyment fixed on his Elvas companion's, the way his face's muscles moved after each sip from the glass. Now that Samuel recollected, the Elvas rarely ever smile, this was the first time Samuel ever saw such delightful expressions appeared on that ever so serious face of him.

After a while and finally escaped from the siege of the local highborn, Emma re-joined her friends, although seemed to enjoyed the party and socializing but clearly something was bothered the Celgealian princess.

"Ugh... look at her, she kept acting like we're friend the entire time, and the two kingdoms had already mended relationship or something" –Emma glanced at the Aulacian princess in the crowd and voice her grievant- "Oh! thank you, Challenger" – Emma said her thank and received a glass of wine from Samuel.

"Yah, she clearly seems to have some sort of agenda," Samuel smiled in agreement, "Just a moment ago she approached me and kept asking all sort of question, from my personal life to my relationship with you, quite charming lady I must say."

"Is she now?" –rested herself on a seat Samuel pulled up- "Are you into her already?" –Emma gave her friend a mischievous glance.

"No," Samuel answered, "She seems to be the plotting and calculating sort... not my type" –Samuel Shrugged.

"Well, she probably thinking you're some Bricatia noble and wondering if I have had some kind of deal with Bricatia's royalty or something" –Emma laughed- "You know" -Emma sighed, continued after a sip of wine- "I actually really like this kind of event, the food, the clothing, the music, meet difference people and socializing, I just wish I didn't have the duty of a representative weighted down on my shoulders like this"

"It's been hard, isn't it?" –Samuel sympathized- "How did you became your kingdom's representative anyway? And what's this council I kept hearing about?"

"Uhm... it's a peace keeping council of sort, tasked with oversee peace and help mediate conflict between kingdoms with diplomatic approach," Emma explained.

"That's neat, so you're try to get the council help with your kingdom dispute with her?" Samuel said.

"Uhm... about that..." –Emma sighed- "Actually, I really not having much hope for that..." –Gaze up to the supernova above, Emma continued- "The council's verdict really doesn't have much weight to any one nowadays, most of the kingdoms view it as some relic of a bygone empire"

"Then why bother with the meeting?" –Samuel curious.

"Well... to negotiate a marry proposed," Emma replied.

"Marry? Who?" Samuel asked.

"Me," the Celgealia spoke with a melancholy sigh.

"You? Wow, congratulation, who's the lucky groom?" –Samuel raised his glass in celebration.

"I don't know" -Emma sighed

"Wait, hold on," –the true meaning of what Emma said finally dawned on Samuel- "An arranged marriage? You submitted yourself to a political arranged marriage?"

"Hum... I don't hope that you will understand, but that's what I must do to fulfil my duty as the daughter of the crown," Emma said, "You know, to be honest, I was... actually kind of jealous with that slanted-eyes over there, I heard a lot of rumours" –pointed her glass toward Princess Hi in the crowd.

"How come? What kind of rumour?" -Samuel wondered

"Well... 'the twin dragons of Aulacia'" –Emma gulped down the last drop of wine in her glass- "That what people called her and her sister, so I'd heard, somehow they'd amassed a large amount of political power within Aulacia's court, and was the actual people who running everything and likely her sister will be the one who sit on Aulacia's throne once the old king die, quite an achievement don't you think?" Emma smiled.

"Oh... compare to me..." –Gave of a long sighed, Emma turned to Samuel- "Well, sorry for the complaining, but enough about me, why don't you tell me more about you? Sir 'other worldly'."

"What? me?" -Samuel chortled- "I don't have anything really that interested... well, aside from what you already known."

"Ah yes, that, to be honest I still feel hard to comprehend it" –Emma laughed- "You're really is from a difference world aren't you, wow! then... tell me about your world?"

"Eh... well, it doesn't difference much from this world, actually, er... except the magic and monster part, it pretty much the same," Samuel said.

"Really, your world doesn't have magic?" –Emma surprised- "Then how did you came to this world?"

"That... that I wondering myself too" –Samuel shrugged- "I was hoping after I reunited with my sister, we could find some answered and eh... try to find a way home."

"So do you have anyone waiting for you at home?" Emma smiled.

"Me? No" –Samuel shook his head.

"How come?" -Emma curious- "you seem to be a good man, how do you still single? Too picky?"

"Maybe" -Samuel chuckled.

"What about your sister? Can you tell me about her?" Emma asked.

"Eh... she about the same age as you, a total nerd" –Samuel spoke about his sister in gleeful tone.

"Nerd? What's a nerd?" –Emma wondered.

"Er... a... person who like to read" –Samuel tried to simplify the definition to Emma.

"She's a book lover? must be a very smart lady" -Emma grinned, watched the proudness in Samuel's eyes when he mentioned his sister- "A lovely lady I'm sure? You seemed quite proud of her"

"Duh, she's my nerdy cute little sister" –Samuel's eyes gleamed- "The kiddo practically saved my life."

"Save your life?" –Emma surprised- "What do you mean by that?"

"Er... well, it's a long story" –Samuel shrugged- "Long story short, I was in a very rough time in the past, she's practically pulled me back up to life."

"Wow, she sounds amazing" –Emma smiled, then turned to the tune being played by the musicians- "Hey, Samuel, would you dance with me?"

"I... I don't think..." –Samuel hesitated, but Emma already grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the dancing crowd

Of course, there was a reason for Samuel hesitation, entangled feet and flailing hand, Samuel brought chaos to the dancing crowd, stomped on Emma foot then whacked his hand into another lady's head, the man gave an embarrassing performance.

"Well, that's a terrible performance of you" –Emma huffed, strode away from the crowd- "What're those legs of you made of? Wood?"

"Sorry" -Samuel laughed- "I really have no clue about this world's dance."

"Really? You aren't said that just save face, aren't you?" –Emma raised an eyebrow.

"And why would I do that?" –Samuel opened his arms confidently.

"Very well then, how about you show me the dance of your world?" –Emma interestingly curious.

"Gladly" –Samuel bowed, held his hand forth- "May I have your hand, My lady?"

Thus under the warm glow of lanterns, in a corner of them own, Samuel led Emma into a waltz.
