Chapter 2

"Oops.." Tiffany muttered under her breath when Yuri jumped into the pool to fish out her camera. It was ruined. Yuri's expensive five-thousand dollar camera was ruined. Tiffany tried to leave the scene silently while Yuri fished out her camera, but like that was ever possible.

"You come back here!" Yuri yelled at her, pulling her arms to prevent her from leaving the place.

"Let me go!!" Tiffany spewed; she used her other hand to swat away Yuri's but the grip was too tight.

"Let you go? LET YOU GO? After what you did to my camera!? You expect me to LET YOU GO!?" Yuri continued to yell at her, shoving her now ruined camera towards Tiffany.

Tiffany was unfazed by Yuri's reaction, "Let me go before I call the security on you!"

"Call the security on me? For what? I should call the police on you for damaging my personal property!" Yuri retorted.

"You were the one that took pictures of me!" Tiffany shot back, rolling her eyes, "You filthy paparazzis' who have nothing better to do than take pictures of stars like me and make a huge scandal out of everything."

Yuri palmed her face and sighed, "For the love of God, I am not a paparazzi, I am just a mere mortal who takes photographs as a hobby."

Tiffany scoffed and finally shook Yuri's hands off her, "Then why did you say you were one back at the filming set?"

"Because you didn't want to give my dongsaeng a freaking autograph! you acted like it was so hard to just write your name on a piece of paper."

"Well, she did say that she didn't want it anymore, so why would I bother to give her one if she doesn't want it?" Tiffany made the excuse.

"She didn't want it because of you! You were her idol and everything, do you know what it feels like to be rejected by your idol? Yeah, didn't think so. If you want to ever leave this place, I suggest you to pay the damages you did to my camera! That would be 5 thousand dollars!"

"That thing is suppose to cost five thousand dollars?" Tiffany looked at it with wary eyes, "I don't think so. I can get something like that for a few hundred bucks."

Yuri rose her right eye brow, "Oh really? Shall we check the price then?" She pulled Tiffany to the lounge chair next to her despite her rebellion and pulled up her laptop. She minimized her blog that she was updating and pulled up a new tab.

"Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III, from $6,100 new, $4,299 used at 36 stores" Yuri read it out the google search for the camera, showing Tiffany the true price.

Tiffany scoffed, "What? $6,100 for that thing? You have got to be kidding me."

Yuri shook her head and smiled, "Nope, I'm not kidding you. Now pay up, unless you want to take a trip down to jail.

Tiffany stared at her and fumbled on, not knowing what to do.Her dad cut off her credit cards after her refusal to date Siwon, all she has left was her bank account and she didn't even bring money with her on the trip because the director promised her to take care of 'everything'.

"Dammit Tiffany, maybe you should think before you act." She berated herself, thinking how she would get out of this mess.

"Okay look, " She stood up with her arms around her hips, "I'll pay you back your camera when I go back to Korea, my management company will pay you back."

Tiffany's statement made Yuri scoff "Thanks for the offer but I rather have it that you pay me back NOW, don't you have money with you?"

Tiffany rubbed her head trying to think of ways to get out of this but nothing came to her, her eyes lit up when her manager appeared, to save her day of course.

"SUNNY! I'M RIGHT HERE!" Tiffany waved her hands, catching the attention of her short manager. Sunny walked towards them while looking at Yuri intently; Tiffany had most probably caused trouble again.

"What's going on here?" Sunny asked Tiffany, her gaze was still fixed on Yuri.

"You're the manager?" Yuri asked, standing up to match the height of the two.

"Yes, I am." Sunny smiled, "Did Tiffany cause you any trouble?"

"Does this give you any clue on what she did to me?—my property?" Yuri asked her, showing her the water damaged camera with the broken LCD.

Sunny sighed, "How much?" she asked, taking out her wallet.

"Five thousand dollars."

"Five thousand dollars?! For that camera?!"

"My thoughts exactly!" Tiffany added.

Sunny winced, hesitating as she placed the wallet back into her pocket and took out a business card instead, handing it to Yuri.

"What's this?" Yuri asked for the obvious taking the card from Sunny's hand.

"This is SM entertainment, the contracted company Tiffany is with? Anyway, once you come back to Korea, give the place a visit, and we'll pay for your camera."

"How would I know you're not tricking me?"

"Don't worry, " Sunny chuckled, "I'll guarantee you that you'll get your money back." She proceeded to get out a piece of paper and wrote the letter of debt before signing it.

"Here" Sunny handed her the piece of paper, "This would be proof, kinda. Plus we're actually going back to Korea soon, everywhere in Korea is all about 'Tiffany Hwang', you don't have to worry about us cheating you."

Yuri stared at the short girl, Sunny was smiling and gave Yuri a assuring look. "Fine, I'll trust you?"

"Trust me." Sunny smiled, reaching her right hand out, "I have to go help Tiffany pack up now, nice meeting you errr?"

"Yuri, Kwon Yuri." She shook her hand, looking oddly at the girl. She was way more polite and respectful unlike Tiffany.

"Fany, let's go NOW, stop creating more trouble." Sunny hoarsely whispered to her, pulling her by the arm as she dragged her towards the entrance of the hotel.

Yuri was reading the 'letter of debt' when Tiffany's movement caught her attention. The girl who was walking behind Sunny stuck out her tongue at Yuri, teasing her.

"Immature brat." Yuri muttered, making a fist with her arm at Tiffany. Tiffany stuck out her tongue once more before focusing her attention ahead of her. Yuri sniffed at the sight of her camera, "My baby..RIP" Yuri shook the camera, water was still coming out of the ports.

"That is IT! first she denied Seohyun of an autograph, second she injured me with a rock, third she trashed my camera!" She yelled pulling up the internet tab she was updating her blog on.

"This is ___ ____, can you figure out who she is? ;D, don't be fooled by her, she's not really who you think she is. My dongsaeng, Seohyun asked her for a small favor but she denied it, what gives? All Seohyun wanted was an autograph. This particular person called me a paparazzi, which I AM NOT, and I feel insulted that she said that to me. She also called the guards on me and threw a rock that struck my back, It still hurts, not to mention that she trashed my camera for the reasons above (thinking that I was a paparazzi) Ottoke? what should I do? my baby died T^T and so I won't get to update pictures and the blogs for you guys. Till next time when I get a new camera T.T"

Yuri finally got that off her chest. Within a few minutes of her blog update about Tiffany, she recieved several comments from her blog followers already.

"Wow, isn't this Tiffany Hwang? (even though you blurred out her eyes, I still knew who ^^) who knew she was such a bi*ch, hwaiting Yuri-ah! I'll wait for your return with wonderful photographs!"

"Seriously? that 'Hwang' person did that to you? omo, I liked her very much too. Seems like celebrities isn't who they really are on TV hah? T.T"

"Omg no! your camera! I remember how you blogged about how much you had to work in order to buy that camera t__t did she repay you back? she better!"

"Tiffany Hwang, I knew she wasn't that innocent and nice like on TV -____-' sorry you had to deal with her"

Yuri read through some of the comments, all in which supported her against Tiffany. Yuri smiled, "If only everyone in Korea knew who you really are."

---

"Unnie, I'm back with my friends!" Seohyun called out, opening the door to their hotel room. Yuri peeked out from the bathroom, "Oh you're home? it's still pretty early, I though you were going to come home late."

Seohyun chuckled, "We still need to pack for the flight tomorrow home."

"Mhmm" Yuri nodded and closed the door, continuing to brush her teeth.

"Yuri unnie, Jessica unnie is calling?" Seohyun muttered, walking over to the laptop placed on the desk. 'Jessica' was requesting a video chat with Yuri.

Seohyun clicked on accept and Jessica's face popped up on the screen.

"Seohyunnie!" Jessica greeted her with a bright smile, "I haven't seen you in a long time right? You're grown up now, heard you're one of the youngest people to become an archaeologist too, congratulations."

"Thanks unnie." Seohyun smiled, "You need to talk with Yuri unnie right?"

"Uhm yeah." Jessica smiled.

"Okay, hold on one sec." Seohyun told her before running up to the bathroom door. "Jessica unnie wants to speak with you."

Yuri's eyes opened wide and she quickly finished what she was doing in the bathroom and rushed out, "Go take a shower." She told Seohyun.

"I know, I know, I'll give you two some quiet time." Seohyun winked, grabbing her set of clean clothes and a towel into the bathroom.

"Sica-ah." Yuri said in a teasing tone to the girl on the monitor.

Jessica smiled, "Yuri, how are you?"

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that first?" Yuri laughed, flashbacks of how Jessica left her for America ran through her head and she quickly shook it away, "I'm fine thank you, currently in Egypt right now."

"I see.." She nodded her head, "I've been following your blog for sometime, you're quite an adventurer now are you?"

"Most definitely, I love roaming around the different countries to learn about their culture and most of all, take amazing photographs...enough about me, my life is just so-so" Yuri laughed uncomfortably, "So what about you Jessica Jung? how's life in America? are you planning to come back to Korea anytime soon? it's been like 3 years."

"So many questions for me heh?" Jessica teased, "I'm doing well...I met this guy..." she paused, unsure of what to tell Yuri.

"You met this guy..?"

"When I left Korea and went back to the states, I met this guy name Jay and currently...we're dating.." Jessica told her, finally after a few hesitations.

Yuri felt her heart stopped a beat, "Oh..really? congratulations!"

"We're engaged and marriage is planned.. for next year"

Yuri bit her lower lip before she pushed more blessings for Jessica out of her mouth, "I'm happy for you two, you better send me a wedding invite!"

"Of course! so, any guys or— girls that caught your interest so far? that actress you posted on your blog seems interesting."

"Her? don't even start about her." Yuri groaned, making Jessica laugh.

"Jessica baby" A husky, male voice called out, walking towards Jessica, "Who are you talking to?" He asked her, looking at Yuri, who was awkwardly waving to him.

"This is Yuri, my—old friend from Korea." Jessica uneasily introduced.

"Old—friend? we were more than that." Yuri thought in her head, it was aching her but not as much as how much her heart was aching at the moment.

"—And Yuri, this is Jay...my fiance."

"Nice to meet you." Yuri forced herself to smile as Jay planted kisses on Jessica's cheek before going lower towards her neck. How unappropriate of him to do that in front of her.

"Uhh, Jay stop." Jessica told him but he continued on. "It's time for bed." He gave a lecherous smile.

"..I'll let you two have some time with each other, I'll go now. Talk to you later, Jessica." Yuri smiled before shutting off the cam.

---

"Yuri wai—"

"She shut off the camera." Jay said, chuckling as he stopped his ministrations from earlier and went to sit down on the couch.

"What was that all about?" Jessica demanded.

"What was what all about?"

"About you suddenly walking over to me and starting to kiss me on cam." Jessica said in a harsh tone "

He smiled, "To make her jealous of me."

"Why would she be jealous of you?"

"This." He said, handing Jessica old photos of Yuri kissing Jessica while she smiles for the camera.

"Where did you get this?"

"Where else did you think I got it from? you still love her don't you?"

"No" Jessica lied, "I am straight and I plan to stay straight." She said, truthfully.

"That's why I'm with you aren't I?" She continued.

---

Yuri vividly remembered the day they first met— and the day they broke up. How could she ever forget them? One was the most memorable day of her life while the other, was the day her heart shattered to pieces.

"Excuse me do you know the directions to Chugye University for the Arts?" The girl asked passer-bys in english, all in which they all shook their heads, unable to understand her.

"Excuse..me..do you...to Chugye University for the Arts?" She asked her in unfluent, broken Korean, making people stare at her like she was some weird crazy person.

"Do you need help?" Yuri asked the lost and confused girl.

The girl shook her head unable to understand her, "I don't understand you." she said in english, with defeat. She was tired asking around for directions the whole day.

"You can speak to me in english." Yuri said to her in the same language.

"YOU CAN SPEAK ENGLISH?!" The asked, her eyes lit up. "Thank you thank you, thank you!" She jumped and hugged Yuri, just when she remembered she wasn't in California anymore, and that Koreans don't take hugs from strangers like this.

"Sorry.." Jessica apologized, feeling embarassed.

"It's okay, Yuri smiled."I saw that you need help finding your way to the Chugye University?"

"Yes! how did you know?"

"I saw you wandering the streets asking for directions," Yuri laughed, "this part of Seoul doesn't have a lot of english speaker, you should be glad you met me, because I go to the same school."

"Really?!"

"Yup, are you an exchange student or something from America?"

"Yes I am" The girl smiled, "My name is Jessica, how about you?"

"Yuri's my name, so what major are you taking at the school?"

"Majoring something in music, you?"

"Photography, it's my hobby."

---

"Yuri, we need to talk" Jessica sighed. She called Yuri late at night to come meet her at the park, giving Yuri no reason behind it.

"What is it? you miss me so much that we have to talk out here, not on the phone?" Yuri smiled, walking towards her and pulled her in for an embrace before she lightly pushed Yuri away.

"We need to talk about us, our relationship." Jessica said short.

"What do you mean?" Yuri asked, hoping it wasn't what she think it was going to be.

"I want to..break up." Her voice quivered with hesitation.

"Wait...what did you just say?"

"I want, to break up." Jessica took a deep breath, taking in the cold winter air.

She left Yuri speechless, "But..why?"

"I'm not gay." She said, diverting her looks at Yuri.

"But you ARE gay, why can't you accept it? why can't you accept the way you are?"

"You know the reason, Yuri. Even if I do accept the fact that I am gay my mom won't."

"What about me? all you think about is your mom? how she feels? how about my feelings? do you even care?" Yuri scrambled her with questions.

Jessica looked up at Yuri, "I do care."

"What about all the times we spent together? was I just a experiment to you? so that you can experience being 'gay' and now you can't accept who you are?"

"Yuri, you know it's not like that!" Jessica retorted.

"THEN WHAT IS IT?" Yuri spewed.

Jessica ignored her and took out something from her jacket. "My airline tickets, I'm leaving South Korea tomorrow morning to San Francisco."

Left with no words to say, it was good bye for good. Yuri, turned her back around Jessica and left without a good bye.

"Yuri, I'm sorry!" Jessica shouted, tears dripping down her cheeks. She looked at the plane tickets and grasp it, clenching her fist. "I love every minute I spent with you, I just..I just can't accept the fact that I'm falling in love with a girl."

"What did Jessica unnie say?" Seohyun asked Yuri, making her snap out of her train of thoughts.

"Oh nothing, just stuff about our life, she's getting married soon by the end of this year."

"What..? really? I thought you two—"

"After she went back to the States, there's nothing between us anymore, we're just friends."

"Unnie, are you okay? you seem a little bit off after the video chat."

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." Yuri chuckled, "Let's get our stuff ready for the flight tomorrow morning."
